Direct Debit Refund

The Direct Debit Refund allows partners to return funds to a user for a previously successful Direct Debit transaction.

In this flow, an end user requests a refund from the merchant, and the merchant initiates the refund through Ayoconnect’s Direct Debit system. The refunded amount is usually reflected immediately in the end user’s balance, however the actual processing time depends on the issuer bank’s regulations.

This is a transaction-level process and does not affect the binding status of the user’s bank account. After a successful refund, the user can continue to perform new payments using the same bound account token.

Refunds can only be initiated for transactions with a successful status. The Refund API is synchronous, and the refund result is reflected directly in the API response.
