Update Virtual Account

The Update Virtual Account feature enables you to modify the details of an existing virtual account. This feature is useful for scenarios where changes to payment details are necessary, such as updating the payment amount, or extending the expiration date

Through this feature, you can:

• Update Payment Amount - adjust the payment amount associated with a virtual account. (*with some limitations explained below)
• Adjust Expiration Date - modify the expiration date to give more time for payment, or expire the virtual account sooner
• Adjust Customer Name - adjust details such as the customer name associated with the virtual account
• Change virtual account type - change a virtual account from multi-payment to single-payment, or vice versa

Limitations

Please note the following limitations in updating a virtual account:

• Only virtual accounts with virtual account states =X,Y,X can be updated for all banks. Virtual Accounts in all other states cannot be updated
• When updating a Virtual Account, all mandatory fields in the API request need to be populated, regardless if the value has changed
• Due to limitations across all banks, updating a virtual account's payment amount from fixed amount --> open amount, or vice versa, is not supported
• Due to BNI's limitations, updating the virtual account type for BNI Virtual Account is not supported
